- Pharmaceutical Research Laboratory aims to evaluate the medicinal properties of natural products and disseminate the evidence-based information in the field of pharmaceutical, cosmetics research, development and production.
Current projects of Pharmaceutical Research Lab focus on the biological activity of indigenous Myanmar medicinal plants and endophytic microbes: especially for the antioxidant, cosmeceutical, antidiabetic activities and antimicrobial activity against clinically important microbes and antibiotic resistant bacteria.
- Investigation of in vitro antioxidant, antihyper glycemic, antiglycation, antilipidemic and cytotoxic properties of Myanmar medicinal plants
- Evaluation of cosmeceutical activities of Myanmar medicinal plants especially for Tyrosinase, Collagenase inhibitory properties
- Isolation and identification of the antibacterial producing microbes from soil and hot spring water/extreme conditions and endophytes from medicinal plants
